Success Stories

SuccessThere are possibly hundreds of success stories that we could publish but we have included just three which we believe typify the ability of QSM Group to lead the way and do whatever it takes to ensure success for our clients.

The first success story demonstrates our ability to lead the way in Integrated Management Systems and Certification, the second demonstrates our ability to continually deliver value for money, even to the most prudent and demanding clients and finally the third demonstrates our determination to do whatever is necessary to ensure that our clients achieve what most believe to be impossible.

Success Story #1: Transport

QSM Group led the development and implementation of an integrated management system (Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental Management System), at five locations across Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory for a division of a large national transport organisation.

Within eighteen months each location had undergone successful certification audits (ranging in duration from two to six auditor days) and achieved certification to each of the following standards:

  • AS/NZS 4801:2001 – Occupational Health and Safety.
  • AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 – Quality.
  • AS/NZS ISO 14001:2004 – Environmental.

QSM Group and the certification auditors believe that history was made when the Victorian locations became the first Australian organisation to be recommended for certification to all three standards at one audit.

Success Story #2: Manufacturing

QSM Group was contacted by a Perth based organisation with around twenty five employees and asked to provide guidance in the development and implementation of its management system with two primary objectives:

  •  Improve productivity.
  • Achieve certification to AS/NZS ISO 9001.

The Managing Director wanted the project to be managed by company employees for logical reasons:

  • Keep consulting fees to a minimum.
  • Company employees understand the business better than an outsider.

Very quickly the Managing Director recognised our capabilities and the value in utilising more of our services. Soon he had requested that we take on the role of managing the project. Both of the primary objectives were achieved within twelve months.

In the following years the organisation has expanded to around sixty employees and has offices in New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and Victoria as well as in Western Australia. QSM Group is still commissioned to provide advice and internal auditing services at all locations on a regular basis. The Managing Director continues to see greater value in utilising our services, rather than giving additional duties and responsibilities to existing employees.

Success Story #3: Lending

QSM Group was contacted by a lending organisation employing around thirty people. This organisation needed to achieve certification to AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 within six weeks or they would lose their prime contract to provide loans on behalf of their client.

Prior to contacting QSM Group, no work whatsoever had been done by the organisation to develop and implement most of the systems necessary for certification. QSM Group had been highly recommended as, “one of the only organisations that could help them achieve certification in the time frame required”.

The organisation successfully underwent its certification audit. All required systems had been developed/documented and effectively implemented in six weeks. The organisation retained its contract.
